"Il Castro" was born in the thirteenth century as a rural village, on the Via Francigena, an ancient pilgrimage route. It is said that in the 16th century Michelangelo, on his way to Rome, stayed there for a few nights, being impressed by the ancestral beauty of the places.

Today "Il Castro" opens up to international hospitality by offering four apartments finely recovered from a careful renovation that leaves the signs of the past unaltered.
