We stayed here for 2 weeks in the Fall of 2017 and absolutely loved it! Convenient walk to most of the major tourist sites, and a convenient bus stop (San Marco Plaza) is also just a short walk away. Convenient to a small grocery store, and wonderful pastry, coffee, pizza and other dining options are nearby. If you plan to check out alot of museums and pallazios, then consider getting a Firenze Card. We felt right at home at the Academy Gallery House from the first day. The bedroom is isolated from the hustle and bustle of the street. In the evenings we opened the windows and listened to the street music. Thank you for a great stay!

Great location in the heart of Florence. Right across the street from the statue of David. Apartment is big! Great tips from vrbo owners. Highly recommend going to carabe for gelato (1 min walk from apartment) and ristorante academia for a mushroom strudel! Only complaint was the bed wasn't very comfortable. It was two twins pushed together. Other than that it was a great apartment!

Apartment was in a great location, right in the heart of Florence and close to everything you'll want to visit. However, the apartment is located across the street from the Academy where tourists line up in the summer between 8AM - 6PM to wait on line to visit the David sculpture. So can be a bit noisy in the living room/kitchen during the day. Bedroom is nice and quiet though! Apartment had a washing machine for clothing which was great, and a drying rack. AC worked well, though the bedroom has no windows so it can be a bit dark in there during the day. There was a great list of local recommendations as far as bars/restaurants which was amazing!

The place is very clean. It is in the heart of Florence so the location was perfect. We walked easily from the train station (about 10 min). My only complaint is that if anyone is in the unit next to you while you were there you could hear them talking from the bedroom. One night we hard gals laughing and talking till 12:30am. It was so loud you could hear everything as if they were in your unit. I could even hear one of the girls coughing every time she'd cough. I had read reviews that the bedroom was so quiet and was really looking forward to that, and it was our first night, but not the two consecutive nights. Overall the stay was ok, having a hard time getting to bed early was the only complaint

The apartment is nested in the heart of the city center, in an elegant and quiet neighbourhood that is part of the most famous pedestrian area, just in front the Galleria dell’Accademia, three minutes walking from Piazza del Duomo. The Santa Maria Novella train station and all the important touristic sites are within walking distance. The area around the apartment is well known for its shops, restaurants and coffee bars.

The apartment is located on the 1st floor (no elevator / 25 steps approx.) and it is suitable for 2 people.

It consists of living room with kitchen and lunch area, bedroom, bathroom.
Bedroom (no window): double bed, large wardrobe.
Living room: sofa, table and chairs, TV 32”, fully equipped kitchen (with dishes, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans, kitchen tools, corkscrew), fridge, gas stove, microwave and oven, kettle, squeezer, toaster, coffee-maker.
Bathroom: shower, hairdryer.
Washing machine, iron, iron board, drying rack.
Air conditioning: available in the bedroom.

Guests have access to the entire apartment.

A booklet with all needed info, rules, downtown city map, places to visit, suggested restaurants, useful numbers, list of closets services and shops is at your disposal.

From the train station, first-time visitors inevitably gravitate towards Piazza del Duomo and the adjacent Baptistery. Their colourful patterned exteriors make a starling contrast with the dun-toned buildings around. Each of those great buildings is remarkable inside as out, and an ascent of the Cathedral's Dome will give you astounding views over the city to the hazy Tuscan hills beyond.

After exploring the cathedral, you can escape the crowds by climbing the Campanile of Giotto, the Duomo's belltower, or visit the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, a repository for works of art removed over the centuries from the Duomo, from the Baptistery and from the Campanile.
Next to it you can explore the Loggia del Bigallo. It contains a tiny museum relating to one of the city's oldest philanthropic institutions.
If you're in need of a break after this architectural and artistic overload, you can recharge your batteries at one of the cafés nearby Piazza della Repubblica, a square that was plannd as a showcase for the Florence Capital City at the end of the XIX century, of the newly united Italy.
